Okay, so we all know that during a Mercury Retrograde a lot of old relationships are brought up. Some ex's might make their way in your inbox. And you might even start to miss one or two of them. We also know that Mercury Retrograde is a time for reviewing and reassessing situations. But, is it a good time to let someone new in? Some people say that it's not the best time to start a new anything, let alone a new relationship. Let's do a simple three card spread to see what the Tarot has to say about this subject.

This spread will be highlighting the following questions...
Energy surrounding the collective that are dating new people during Mercury Retrograde?
What challenges might come up during this time?
Advice on how to overcome that challenge?
And of course I will share the card at the bottom of the deck, which is the foundation card. It shows the background of the situation. Basically, what was going on right before the current energy.

Let's start out with the background card.
The Four of Wands can represent a marriage or engagement, showing that some of you may have recently split from a previous relationship that was pretty serious. Well, it was serious to one of you. It can also be that you have decided to cut energetic ties with someone, and are now open to meeting new people.
Some of you may have recently attended a wedding, and it has you thinking about your love life. We know you are open to dating at the moment, but is it with hopes of finding a committed partner? Or, would you rather keep your options open for a while? Lets see what the surrounding energy is currently.

The surrounding energy is represented by the Seven of Pentacles. That picture speaks volumes! Right now, a lot of us aren't trying to hear it. The pentacles are an energy that has happened over time, so whomever is trying to get back in your good graces is someone who you have been dealing with for a minute. You are still hurting from what they did, but you still have some type of connection with the person. The number 7 is a spiritual number, so there is a spiritual connection between the two of you. This just means that there is some type of lesson you both had to learn from each other, or you were supposed to be doing some type of work together. It could have also been a karmic debt that needed to be paid in this life by you or the other person. I don't feel like you are 100% sure that you will leave this person behind or not.
The seven of pentacles is also a card of patience, review, and evaluation. A fitting card for this phase. It expresses a need to see what works and what doesn't so you can have the best growth and harvest with whatever it is you intend for your life. Let's move on to the challenges that might come up during the Mercury Retrograde phase.

Say Less Spirit! lol
The challenges are expressed by The Tower. I know this looks awful, but bare with me.
The Tower isn't always a dramatic and traumatic event. Sometimes it is, but most times, No. This card represents a break down of the ego that leads to a discovery of ones true self, or the truth of a situation. Mercury be giving all the Tea, so if there were some secrets or anything that may have been unclear about your previous relationship... You shall soon find out! I'm feeling like the shocker could be on the other persons end. Like, they will be shocked about something, or will go through something that will be shocking to them. Could be the Karma I mentioned.
For some the ego break down is for you. During this time, you could be rethinking what love and relationships mean to you. What you value in a relationship could change up. Your thoughts on what you thought a committed relationship should be like can break down as well. Some of you might have a lot of anger and resentment built up towards your ex or commitment all together, and want to just leave it all behind. Just don't go Left Eye on anyone, Okay!
Overall, this card shows some type of Change occurring, that may be difficult to deal with depending where you are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Now to the advice....

A few different things come to me with the Two of Wands as advice. Just remember, this is a general reading for the collective. To get a better innerstanding of Your story, its best to get a personal reading. You can do so by clicking here.
The Two of Wands for some, can be advising you to get out and mingle. The card holds the energy of the number two, so this isn't showing an old relationship. Out with the old and in with the new! If you put yourself out there, you will find a more energetically balanced friendship. Someone who has some of the same interest as you. It could be a good idea to try out online dating if you don't go out much.
Some of y'all exchanged numbers with someone at that wedding or party you went to. Give them a call or be expecting a call from them.
The two of wands isn't a commitment card. It's more of a friendship and getting to know phase. Right now is not a good time to rush into anything. Take the advice of the 7 of Pentacles, and slow down. Rushing into a commitment may have been the problem from your past relationships and the lesson you had to learn. Some have been repeating this same lesson for some time now. Let's not do it again.
Another things with the wands is that it expresses sexual energy. In a podcast I was listening to the other day, it was said that if creative energy is not expressed, it can manifest as an imbalanced sex life. It's okay to be friends with benefits, just don't let that turn the reality of the situation into something that's not really happening. Both parties need to be transparent about what they want and what's going on.
There we have it folks. It is definitely okay to date new people during the Mercury Retrograde! It's always a good time to meet new people, in my opinion. You can always learn something from someone, or just create some good memories. And I feel this Retrograde is screaming Self Love!
The Mercury retrograde gives us a chance to slow down and self assess. During this time, we can learn more about ourselves. Not being in a committed romantic relationship is not a bad thing. Spending time alone is so necessary for our souls growth. Even when you are in a commitment, you need to have alone time. It's harder to focus on you and what you need to do to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and financially.... Just Period, when you have someone around you 24/7.
Right now is a good time to purge your energy too. Especially when leaving a relationship. I offer Energy Healing. Check out what is included in that service by clicking the link below.
